Impact and evidence

Claims you can follow back to the source.

ACE now works from a 65-record source index and 23 evidence controls. Public records open in one click; internal award, attendance and family records are clearly labelled instead of being presented as public links.

A stronger operating system

Evidence before adjectives.

Funding correspondence, public records, partner statements, family experience and ACE self-reports have different weight. The new system keeps them separate and traceable.

The human evidence

The ledger has a voice.

Numbers show reach. People show what welcome, confidence, community spirit and determined leadership felt like.

Evidence ledger

What can be said, and why.

Each entry is dated. Award values are not assumed to equal final delivery or spend. Qualitative evidence is valuable, but it is not presented as a measured population outcome.

How to read this page

A link is not the same thing as a label.

PUBLIC SOURCE

Open it yourself

Press “View source” to reach the original publisher, ACE archive or partner record in a new tab.

INTERNAL RECORD

Traceable, not public

The source sits in ACE’s controlled evidence register and can be supplied to a funder or commissioner during due diligence.

QUALITATIVE

Experience, carefully used

Family voices are anonymised unless permission exists. They explain what changed without being overstated as population data.

A funding lesson in plain sight

Good delivery. Changing fit.

2023£19,365

Full Short Breaks award for 38 sessions.

2024£14,000

Further award for a ring-fenced group.

2025/26£6,446

Reduced award after only four council referrals aligned with the existing capability.

The decisive weakness was not simply whether families valued the service. It was the mismatch between the group ACE could safely support and assessed-need referrals requiring personal care or specialist communication. The continuation model now makes capability, referral fit and partner roles explicit.

Public evidence controls

Credibility is a design decision.

  1. 01

Award values are not presented as delivery totals unless attendance and payment are confirmed.

  2. 02

Historic self-reported reach is labelled and separated from third-party or public records.

  3. 03

Family evidence is anonymised; attribution requires explicit permission.

  4. 04

Historic partner roles are dated and do not imply a present commitment or endorsement.

  5. 05

Projected reach, planned functions and proposed budgets are never presented as completed outcomes.

  6. 06

The next phase will capture attendance, unique people, retention, outcomes, costs and referral fit from day one.

Historic public record

The neighbourhood model was visible from outside ACE.

A 2022 Manchester Evening News feature recorded 350 monthly paying members and around a dozen trainees, apprentices or employees. A 2021 One Stockport profile documented ACE’s community-led health and wellbeing approach.

Families described confidence, relationships, wider participation and rare time to breathe.
